Not my best idea. Not my worst either.

I have multiple lasers at my disposal and have never done this.... I guess that shows my poor commitment to Halloween.

The theme song started playing in my head. It’s glorious.

I have many lasers as well and this is the first year I’ve done this.

CO2? Diode? Fibre? Galvo? X-Y?

I have access to CO2, Diode, and Fibre lasers. All galvo. I can get access to x and y axis linear motors as well as motorized Z and Rotary if I need it.

I used an 80 watt CO2 laser for the pumpkin. I had completely the wrong lens installed as the photo is larger than the actual etching and it filled the marking window.

I have a 50 watt CO2 galvo and a 200 watt CO2 x-y cutting unit... I may have to slap the 360mm lens in the galvo and give that a shot....

I’d recommend the 50 watt. My 80 watt was already too strong and I was moving pretty fast with 35% power and a low density on a single pass.
